Day 01 : Departing from Quito
We begin with private transportation from your hotel in Quito, heading north to the iconic Middle of the World Monument. Here, you will have the chance to stand with one foot in each hemisphere.
Next, we take a ride on the Quito Teleférico, one of the highest cable cars in the world, ascending to nearly 4,000 meters (13,000 ft). From the top, enjoy spectacular views of Quito, the Avenue of the Volcanoes, and the surrounding Andean peaks. This is a perfect spot for memorable photos.
We enjoy a traditional Ecuadorian lunch at a local restaurant (included)
We ascend to El Panecillo viewpoint, where the iconic winged Virgin of Quito stands tall overlooking the city. From here, take in 360° panoramic views of Quito’s north and south, as well as the surrounding volcanoes.
We explore Quito’s UNESCO World Heritage Historic Center, one of the best-preserved in South America. Church of San Francisco: A masterpiece of baroque art, located in one of the oldest architectural complexes in the Americas.
Next, Church of La Compañía de Jesús: Famous for its dazzling gold-leafed interior.
We visit Plaza Grande: The heart of the city, surrounded by the Carondelet Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, and historic arcades.
We also explore Basilica del Voto Nacional, a stunning neo-Gothic church.
